Security
When
Keltic Windows started up the question of security did not seem as
important to our clients is now the case. Insurance companies and
Police Forces have come together and actively encouraged homeowners
to consider security when purchasing replacement windows and doors.
At Keltic Windows we think that the peace of mind brought about
by having safe secure windows is priceless and we insist that all
our windows and doors carry a complete security package.
All windows and doors installed by Keltic Windows Ltd. are internally
glazed unless otherwise stipulated by our customer. This means that
our windows and doors can only be deglazed from within the property
making it impossible for this to be done by a prospective thief from
the outside.
All our windows are fitted with the latest in line espagnolette
rods which provide enhanced security with the facility to lock the
window in a position of ventilation, this is known as the night vent
facility.
All doors have a double rebated 5 point locking mechanism for enhanced
security and have inbuilt features making entry through the letter
plate impossible. They are also fitted with a highly secure anti
drill locking barrel making it very difficult for even an experienced
locksmith to enter without a key.
A lot of features found on our windows and doors are actually endorsed
by The Association of Chief Police Officers through their Secure
By Design Scheme, which tests many parts to assess their security
features.
In positions were a window might be expected to act as a fire escape
this can be fitted with an egress hinge which allows the sash to
open to allow escape but with no compromise in it’s security
performance.
All door panels fitted by Keltic Windows Ltd. are now reinforced
to make break ins less likely. This reinforcement means that a prospective
bugler can no longer simply kick in the panel.
In conclusion the windows and doors fitted by Keltic Windows Ltd.
are of a very secure nature and have all modern security features
built-in.
